My Triumph Tiger 955i
I owned my Tiger 955i  from 2003 to 2007.  I had discovered big trail bikes the year before and I sold my Honda XRV750 Africa Twin and bought my Tiger new
in Sept 2003.  The Tiger was only the second new road bike I've owned.  By then I had owned over 60 bikes and my Tiger 955i I was among the best.  A great
engine, super smooth,  good character, fast but not furious with an upright riding position and a comfy seat.  I managed 55 mpg giving a 220+ mile range to
provide real touring potential.  At the time the Tiger 955i was the sportiest of the big traillies and I enjoyed a good owners fraternity.  I part exchanged it for a
1050 Tiger from Lings in July 2007.  I had no faults with the Tiger 955i in 26,000 miles including 2 trips to the Alps,  a long tour of Scotland and 2 tours of
Wales.  I was sorry to see the Tiger 955i go.

In 3 years I covered 26,000
trouble free miles.  Generally
the finish coped well with life in
the UK.  (Except for the
cadmium plated pipe fittings
which looked shabby after just
a few washes).
Overall the Tiger lasted better
than any other bike I've has

I despair when UK Bike Magazines go on about legendary Honda build quality and are disparaging of Triumph motorcycles.  My previous bike, a Honda
Africa Twin was secondhand, 3 years old with under 20,000 miles.  Under the body panels it had bad corrosion everywhere, a badly rusting exhaust, the
brake calipers were always binding and the suspension was worn out, especially the damping in the front forks.  In comparison my Tiger 955i was a
revelation in build quality.  I sold my Tiger after 4 years and it still looked mint.
I created this site in 2004 with Yahoo Sitebuilder (Now sold on to Aabaco), I still use Sitebuilder but for the last 10 years there has been a bug in my site .  If I make a change to the Toolbar Sitebuilder will
randomly delete text from site pages.  I split my site into sub domains and I have more or less eradicated the bug which I now know is caused by the Advanced Navigation Bar Editor.  If a text box contains
gibberish it is not my fault.  I would not recommend Sitebuilder, unfortunately I am stuck with it.
